In 1967, the young Anthony Rowcliffe discovered artisanal cheeses from small producers at a French market. He then went on to conquer the UK market - with speciality cheeses from all over Europe and small UK cheesemakers. We still proudly uphold Anthony’s vision and appreciate that the cheeses available today are thanks to his campaign to support small producers.
Our cheeses have a story of their own and are often made with recipes handed down from generation to generation.
