Cuts/Production Operative

Position: Cuts/Production Operative

Reports to: Cuts Supervisor

Salary: DOE

Hours per week: 40 hours Monday – Thursday excluding unpaid breaks

Contract type: Permanent, Full-time

 

Main Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

· To be multi-trained across all areas of the cuts/production room, including cheese cutting, wrapping &

labelling.

· Ability to use high care cutting and packing machinery (once training has been completed).

· Ability to hand cut soft and hard cheese varieties using cheese wires and boards.

· Post production and deep cleaning on a daily basis.

· To ensure daily plans are met and customer orders are despatched on time and to specification.

· Ensure all stock is available and ready on time for each day’s dispatch.

· Undertake any specific training including temporary and seasonal specification changes.

· Achieve all KPI and objectives within the department.

· Lead by example in effective team working, having a positive ‘can do’ attitude, going the ‘extra mile’,

overcoming challenges, treating others fairly and with respect, etc.

· Actively promote a safe, happy work environment that encourages open two way communication. · Comply with all Company policies and procedures, communicate any changes, ensure this are fully and correctly understood taking immediate corrective action and reporting unresolved issues immediately to management.
