Warehouse Operative  - Temporary 

As a warehouse operative at Rowcliffe, you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.
This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The fast paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency and with so much ground to cover in the line of duty it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to work comfortably in cold (fridge) environment to carry out your tasks.
Picking and packing products can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and lifting. Having a good range of mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing undue strain on your body

This role is predominately operational, and you will be working within a chilled environment. Main Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock
• Sorting and placing items on to racks, and shelves. Ensuring correct date rotation; ‘First in First out/ used’
• Picking and/or packing items throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule
• Working within the production area, cutting wrapping, vacuum packing products, weighing of and metal detecting products. Ensuring all procedures are followed.

Machine Operative - Permanent

As Machine Minder at Rowcliffe [part of Lactalis Group], you will have good autonomy of your work and you will have sole responsible for the running, control, stripping and putting back of our food production line equipment including maintaining hygiene standards while checking and completing all quality and safety paperwork. You will be required to comply with all Company policies and procedure without fail, including Health & Safety, BRC food standards and Codes of Practice.
This is predominately a manual role and will require you to be of fit heath and it will be working the day shift.


Main Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Daily set up of machines in High Risk and Low Risk areas prior to production.
• Ensure that all quality and safety checks are carried out.
• Observe and carry out all relevant food safety procedures.
• Ensure quality and safety paperwork is filled in at the correct times and in accordance to Company’s standards.
• In conjunction with our inhouse maintenance engineer, complete full investigation and repair of first line faults and liaising with our maintenance engineers with more complex problems.
• Disassemble and reassemble off machinery for cleaning.
• Loading goods onto pallets ready to distribute to the warehouse.
• Packing of goods for the warehouse.
• Checking quality of products after process has been completed.
• Ensure the availability of materials and accessories, prevent low stock levels.
• Keeping the production area clean and tidy whilst working.
• Ensure that high standards of hygiene are maintained.
• Participate in training and development activities as required and assist with the training and development of colleagues, where appropriate.
• Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
