In 1967, the young Anthony Rowcliffe discovered artisanal cheeses from small producers at a French market. He then went on to conquer the UK market - with speciality cheeses from all over Europe and small UK cheesemakers. We still proudly uphold Anthony’s vision and appreciate that the cheeses available today are thanks to his campaign to support small producers.
Rowcliffe is known foremost for its unrivalled selection of cheeses however, the range of products has increased significantly from those early days. We are now celebrating some of the best deli product. Many of these offer a valuable opportunity to cross sell in-store.
The Castellino range is exclusive to Rowcliffe. Castellino supply the finest olives and vegetables from the La Marche region in Italy. Today the Castellino brand includes more than 100 Italian recipes, created by the resident chef Chiara, who relentlessly works on new product development.
Rowcliffe is proud to be the exclusive partner for Deli-cious OnTap Oils & Vinegars in the UK. The Deli-cious Oils & Vinegars are made of quality natural ingredients and the flavours are rich, clean and fragrant. Many products have been awarded the Great Taste award.
Clemency Hall is exclusive to Rowcliffe, named after the daughter of Tim Rowcliffe. The range, much like their name sake is full of character and all about quality and heritage. The cheeses have been carefully selected from small makers across Britain and Europe dedicated to producing hand crafted, artisanal products. They arrive at Rowcliffe as large truckles and are then each hand cut to deli – friendly sizes with precision, hand wrapped for optimum freshness and helpfully pre-priced.
These smaller sizes ensure those retailers with less space still have the opportunity to offer speciality and premium cheeses. It’s important that, regardless of size, all retailers can keep these cheese stories alive.
