In 1967 Anthony Rowcliffe discovered artisanal cheeses from small producers at a French market. Since then Rowcliffe have been championing speciality cheeses from all over Europe and local British cheesemakers. Our cheeses have a story of their own and are often made with recipes handed down from generation to generation. We still proudly uphold Anthony’s vision and appreciate that the cheeses available today are thanks to his campaign to support small artisan producers.
